Hi, I'm Hansel!

Hansel Dimapilis (she/her) is a visual storyteller based in Quezon City, who likes to imbue her works with whimsy, wonder, and warmth. She loves exploring stories that tackle mental health, women and children's rights, and rural challenges.She graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in Creative Writing, but she always had a passion for the visual arts, particularly comics, which she ended up pursuing. Nowadays, she mainly works freelance on a variety of comics and illustration projects. She particularly likes drawing expressive characters and detailed backgrounds.She strongly advocates for more komiks in Filipino mainstream media, particularly children's literature. Aside from comics, she likes books, sweets, and pedestrian lanes.Looking for representation.
